WELLNESS & SAFETY NOTICE
Adults only – use at your own risk. Not recommended if you have heart conditions, low blood pressure, diabetes, are pregnant or on medication. Do not use the sauna under the influence of alcohol or drugs. Never use alone or sleep in the sauna.
ALWAYS listen to your body. Leave the sauna immediately if you feel dizzy, nauseated or experience tightness in your chest. Relax somewhere cool until you feel normal and seek help if you don’t feel better after a short rest.
Tips for safe sauna use
Avoid caffeine and heavy meals before your session.
Shower and dry off before entering.
Leave shoes outside on the deck.
Wear swimwear and sit on a towel.
Remove jewellery as metal gets hot and can burn the skin.
Stay hydrated – drink water before, during and after use.
Shower after your session to wash away sweat and toxins.
Recommended session
Pre-heat the sauna before your session – it takes around 30 minutes to heat up.
For beginners – spin the sandglass timer and aim for 5 to 10 minutes allowing your body to warm-up and start sweating, for up to 2 or 3 rounds.
Sit outside on the terrace to allow your body to cool between rounds.
Only stay in the sauna for as long as you feel comfortable – relax, detox and rejuvenate!
Using aromatherapy
Fill bucket provided with water to around half-way and add 3 to 5 drops of essential oils.
Hot & cold contrast therapy guide
Use the cold-water hand held shower when you exit the sauna.
Always start at the feet and work your way up to your head in a circular motion.
This restorative therapy helps the body gently reset and return to a state of balance.
Sauna operation
1. Turning the heater ON
Turn the timer knob on the heater clockwise to the "On" section for around 1 hour (as pictured below). This should provide ample time for the sauna to reach operating temperature and give you 2 or 3 rounds.
The sauna is preset to a safe temperature for beginners (around 60° C).
*** Keep away from the heater when it’s on. The hot stones and outer surface of the heater may burn your skin.
2. Turning the heater OFF
The heater is switched off automatically when the timer reaches 0. You can switch the heater off any time by manually turning the timer knob counter-clockwise.
*** Please turn off the heater when you are finished if it’s still on.
3. Pouring water on heated stones
Only use the ladle provided to pour water on the heated stones periodically to reach your desired level of humidity in the sauna.
*** Aim water only on the stones. Never pour water on the stones when there are people near the heater as the hot steam may burn their skin.
