The Journey
I am so happy to share this beautiful and sacred space with you. For years, I dreamt of a nature retreat that would honour and protect the untouched land. I visualised creating a sanctuary where individuals could reset and find solace in a serene and natural environment for physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual healing. I had a deep knowing that this was part of my life path and purpose, to provide a retreat offering visitors an opportunity to harmonise with nature, to wander, connect, rest, and heal.
In 2016, I discovered a remarkable eco-friendly mountain-top retreat that upheld its commitment to the environment. I was delighted to discover that all forms of nature and wildlife on the mountain were completely safeguarded, ensuring that future generations could revel in the wonders of the natural world and its magnificent inhabitants.
I was fortunate enough to connect with the original owner, who had built, cherished, and nurtured this sacred space for 20 years. He shared that he aptly named the lodge 'Wallaroo,' as the mountain is home to numerous species of wallaroos, wallabies, and kangaroos. Witnessing our beloved Australian wildlife roam freely in their natural habitat is a profound and breathtaking experience.
This incredible manifestation materialised during the transformative year of 2021—the year of rebirth. From the moment I set foot on this land, I fell in love with its inherent beauty. I consider it a great honour to continue caring for and nurturing this sacred space.

Indulge in our hydrotherapy healing spa which seats up to 5 people. With 71 jets, you will enjoy the ultimate hydromassage experience.
Outdoor Rainforest Shower
The outdoor rainforest shower and change room is located next to the spa. Under a canopy of greenery, you will feel a beautiful connection to the essence of nature.
Fire Pit
Providing a peaceful ambience that encourages self-reflection and soothing conversations. The fire pit is seasonal and can be enjoyed in the winter months.
Meditation Gully
Enjoy a leisurely walk along the path to the gully and take a seat at the meditation bench. Intuitively select an inspirational stone with a message just for you and contemplate. Bird life is beautifully abundant here, close your eyes and enjoy the sounds of nature and bird-song.
Walking Labyrinth
Experience deep soulful healing as you walk the five-circuit Chartres Cathedral inspired Labyrinth. Gridded with reiki master chlorite quartz crystals and bedded with rhyolite dust. The labyrinth is a 222 metre return journey (the spiritual meaning of number 222 is a reminder to work towards your soul's purpose). Enjoy this beautiful and soulful meditative path symbolising personal growth, deep healing and self-reflection.

Join us for a day retreat cocooned in the tranquility of nature - offering opportunities to relax, ground, unwind and align with your soul.
Experience a walk to the mountain look-out, an invigorating yoga session, a transformative group healing and nourishing plant-based meals with ample free time to explore the beauty of the retreat grounds.
Wallaroo Nature Retreat, provides the perfect backdrop for this soul-nourishing experience, located just 2.5 hours north of Sydney in the scenic Upper Hunter Region.
Hosted by Roslyn of Heaven on Gaia, this day retreat will be available during the reflective months of Autumn and Winter.
The retreat is designed to be intimate with a maximum of six people. Attendees need to make their own way to and from the retreat. Morning tea, lunch, afternoon tea and all beverages are included. The day will commence at 10am and conclude at 4pm.
